February 11, 2026 - Wednesday


Well, I realized late last night that I skipped my hangout with Kylienne yesterday. *face palm* Very unfortunate for such a fragile relationship! I heard back from her this morning and she was pragmatic, as usual. She said we could just reschedule and it was no big deal. *shrug* I feel like I would have been much more annoyed! But, on the other hand, I also would have texted to remind my friend that we were supposed to hang out. So...it's almost 95% her fault. 😆 Just kidding, of course! 

Today was my typical crazy Wednesday. We did as much school as we could until we had to leave for speech and debate club at 11, then me and the younger two did more school at the library. But, really, we just didn't get much done. It was too short of a time and the girls were very distracted. We left a short while later to bring Jonas to BJJ. We thought we'd stay there and hang out, but the girls were starving so we ended up going home in the middle and then I came back to get Jonas after a little while. Marcela wasn't there though, so I didn't mind leaving. 

We got to have a little bit of time at home and then I dropped the girls off at carol choir and started working on dinner when I got back. We decided to go to small group again tonight because everyone was sharing their testimonies and we felt like it would be a cool opportunity to get to know people on a deeper level. Man, what a cool night. So many awesome examples of God doing big things in people's lives! We definitely ended the night feeling more connected with the group, which is good and bad, I think. *sigh* It just makes everything more complicated, really. I wish God would tell us exactly what He wants us to do.

What a day! It literally rained from start to finish, but we packed as much into it as we possibly could! We had a great time visiting and hanging out. We had a fire and lots of great meals *brushes shoulder off*. The kids played well together and, as far as I know, there wasn't any drama! It was a bit exhausting, but I'm so glad that this retreat went well. Last year's was a bit of a bomb, with all the childcare drama happening behind the scenes. I feel like last year's retreat was a pre-cursor to our deciding to move away. Not that they actually had anything to do with one another, but they happened in such close succession that they seem related in retrospect. I drank a bit too much tonight and had a really fun time singing songs, while Tony played the guitar. Man, I wish I had talent with instruments!

February 28, 2026 - Saturday

I can't believe I had to do it, but I texted the Browns to let them know that a few of us have colds again. So annoying! And frustrating! It felt awful to cancel on them again. We ended up not doing too much. I went on a date with Jonas to Polaris that took up most of the day, it felt like. We were there to get him new Crocs, but we ended up shopping at lots of different stores and got food too. It was comfortable and fun to hang out with him. I just wish Tuttle wasn't such a lost cause nowadays! I would have loved to have that same date, but closer to home.  In the afternoon, Ruby and I went out for a bit. She really wanted to get ice cream, which made it pretty easy. I always feel like I need to match dates, if that makes sense. Like, Jonas got several hours and a trip to the mall, so it feels like Ruby should get the same. But she literally just wanted ice cream. So we went to DQ and pigged out for a bit, then headed back home. I tried to explain what I read in the book this...

November 9, 2025 - Sunday

This is my favorite picture from the whole shoot!! I love it.  We went to CT this morning and I actually got to sit in on the teaching! Woo! It feels like that doesn't happen very often. We hung out in the cafe with friends for a little bit, then went to Chipotle for lunch on the way home.  We spent most of the day just relaxing! I started a photo book for our Maine vaca in September, and tried to get caught up with some other stuff, but it was mostly just a chill day. Jonas and Clem went to group and we stayed home, chillin'. Ben and I got in the hot tub with Ruby and Ollie for a little while, which was fun. It was snowing while we were in there!
