February 2, 2026 - Monday


*sigh* It's the first week of the month, which means super busyness allll week long, and I am not happy about it! Today really started with a bang. We did school in the morning, since it might be one of the only days we have time to do it, and Jonas headed to Lighthouse. Then, I had to do stupid lunch duty with Lighthouse (THE WORST THING EVER) but since it was at the same time as this open gym/game time for CACH, I had my parents bring the girls over and then met them after my torture was done. So I guess lunch duty isn't actual torture, but...it sucks. The game time was fun though! I was so surprised to see Leslie there when I walked in! Kara invited her along, which was so fun. Another lady that I know from small group was there too, and my parents, of course. It was a really fun time! But I couldn't stay long because Ben and I had our night away!!! 

He finished up work around 3 and we left shortly after that to check into our hotel. The plan was for him to run, shower, then Marcella's for dinner. But the single treadmill was in use when he went down there. I got to read for a little while and then got dressed up for dinner. It was a lot of fun! We didn't love the food, but it was so great to go somewhere nice with no time pressure at all. Then we went to a furniture store and tried out every single couch in the whole place, went to Target for a bunch of junk food, then went to Cold Stone Creamery for a treat!! Such a fun night. Probably our best in a very long time. It's been so nice for us to be getting along so well lately. So grateful.

What a day! It literally rained from start to finish, but we packed as much into it as we possibly could! We had a great time visiting and hanging out. We had a fire and lots of great meals *brushes shoulder off*. The kids played well together and, as far as I know, there wasn't any drama! It was a bit exhausting, but I'm so glad that this retreat went well. Last year's was a bit of a bomb, with all the childcare drama happening behind the scenes. I feel like last year's retreat was a pre-cursor to our deciding to move away. Not that they actually had anything to do with one another, but they happened in such close succession that they seem related in retrospect. I drank a bit too much tonight and had a really fun time singing songs, while Tony played the guitar. Man, I wish I had talent with instruments!

February 28, 2026 - Saturday

I can't believe I had to do it, but I texted the Browns to let them know that a few of us have colds again. So annoying! And frustrating! It felt awful to cancel on them again. We ended up not doing too much. I went on a date with Jonas to Polaris that took up most of the day, it felt like. We were there to get him new Crocs, but we ended up shopping at lots of different stores and got food too. It was comfortable and fun to hang out with him. I just wish Tuttle wasn't such a lost cause nowadays! I would have loved to have that same date, but closer to home.  In the afternoon, Ruby and I went out for a bit. She really wanted to get ice cream, which made it pretty easy. I always feel like I need to match dates, if that makes sense. Like, Jonas got several hours and a trip to the mall, so it feels like Ruby should get the same. But she literally just wanted ice cream. So we went to DQ and pigged out for a bit, then headed back home. I tried to explain what I read in the book this...

November 9, 2025 - Sunday

This is my favorite picture from the whole shoot!! I love it.  We went to CT this morning and I actually got to sit in on the teaching! Woo! It feels like that doesn't happen very often. We hung out in the cafe with friends for a little bit, then went to Chipotle for lunch on the way home.  We spent most of the day just relaxing! I started a photo book for our Maine vaca in September, and tried to get caught up with some other stuff, but it was mostly just a chill day. Jonas and Clem went to group and we stayed home, chillin'. Ben and I got in the hot tub with Ruby and Ollie for a little while, which was fun. It was snowing while we were in there!
