The week is getting close to being over and I'm already feeling sadness for things going back to normal next week. Yes, there are definitely things I'm looking forward to, especially seeing friends again, but I'm so sad that me and Ollie will be alone here again, that we'll all have to wake up early and rush around to get our days started, and that Ben will be working all day again. It has been so nice to just be here together that it's almost enough to make me consider home schooling 😏...but not quite.
I have a photography aspiration that I'm not sure whether or not to go for. I feel like I'd really enjoy it and possibly be good at it, but I just have such a fear of putting myself out there. I'd really like to do child/infant milestone photography. You know, the newborn stuff, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, smash cake, all that fun stuff! As much as I know that family photography is where many people make money, I don't think I'm really interested in this to become some huge, successful money-maker. I just love documentary photography and I think that photographing babies would be such a joy. I even have a vision for a little home studio in the back room, having adorable baby outfits on hand for clients to use, adorable props and all that good stuff. There is a self-paced class on this topic through the Click Photo School that I've taken classes through before and I think I might sign up for it. I don't know why, but I feel embarrassed to ask Brit and Jenny if I can use their babies to learn with. I guess I'm afraid they'll say no, because they don't want me manhandling their babies during a pandemic. I think it's worth asking though! Probably! I don't know. 😅
My friend Mine dropped off a care package to us today, which was so unexpected, and kind, and wonderful that I literally cried when I saw her on our Ring camera. I don't deserve to have such good people in my life, people that will completely inconvenience themselves just to brighten up my day. It was incredibly sweet. Included in the package were some art kits for the girls to paint and they were very excited to get crafty! I love Ollie's little tongue in this photo so much that I'm posting it, even with all the grain.
