March 14, 2025 - Friday
Man, today was a busy day. Not a bad day, looked at in its entirety, but very busy. We woke up and left the house early for LHM. Class time went pretty quickly since we had lots planned, so that was good, but the kids were all pretty hyper. Was it a full moon or something? Goodness. I stayed afterward for a meeting regarding 8th graders, which Jonas will be next year. I was really hoping for some concession to offer him when I tell him that I've decided to not stay in that co-op next year, but it doesn't look like there will be anything great for him. I mean, I think the 8th grade program sounds amazing. He'd do literature and science through them, so I could get Clem a curriculum tailored directly to her, rather than both of them. He'd go every Friday, rather than just two a month, AND I don't have to go. That is the best part of all. :) Sadly, none of Jonas's friends would be in that class. Two of his good friends are younger than him (11/12), so they'd stay in the 6th and 7th class. His other good friend isn't going to be in the co-op next year, and, of course, he's the only one who would also be in 8th grade. Ben and I will have to make a decision for him, I think, because he's going to be too emotional about it. I'm going to consider and pray about it for a bit.
I got out of the meeting at 1 and rushed to drop the kids off at home, then headed over to Panera to meet with Kaitlyn. Truth be told, I wasn't feeling like we were going to have a good time together, but, MAN, we had a good time together! We ended up hanging out for 2 hours and 15 minutes! My family was messaging and texting me like crazy, asking if something was wrong because I hadn't come home yet. haha It was a very good time and I'm so glad that we finally did this. We've been in group together for years, but this is the first time we've ever hung out alone!
I got home from that and had about an hour and a half until we were going to leave the house to go to the Dwell movie night. Clem decided not to go (pre-teens *eye roll*), so I took Ruby and Ollie. We ate tons of popcorn and laid together on a blanket watching Moana 2 and it was so fun. The Kramers and Hawthornes were both there, so we got to have a little time visiting with them, but it was nice to just be with some people from HC, even if we didn't really talk to them. But, gosh, my back was killing me from laying on that hard floor!
