Mid-week! We've got a couple of days left to hang out. We have decided to start making this an annual tradition for us too, since it has worked out so well this year and the kids have enjoyed being with their family so much. It was always a daunting idea for us, travelling 11 hours with the kids and not being able to do a full week because of the time of year they did the Cherrystone trip. This year, with it being in July, timing wasn't an issue. And although the drive was hard, it's kind of our norm. The drive here was a little harder than usual, but hopefully that was just a fluke and we'll go back to having decent trips soon.
It was a chill day: pool in the morning and lots of people joined us, hangout and do nothing in the afternoon, and fire at night. The kids did play this drip-drip-drop game that's really just duck, duck, goose, but with water. I sat and watched them play for a while. Jonas, being older, has gotten to participate in a lot more than Clemi this year. She hasn't complained much, but I wonder if it bothers her. Luckily, she's had the icee thing to do most days, so I don't think it has made her too upset.
