Oasis went fine this morning and my meeting with the musicians went great. We got a plan together, got availability, and got everyone's contact information. I think we'll be in good shape! I was a mess though. Feeling pretty crappy today, nauseous and tired, and I'm on my period, so I'm crampy and grumpy too. Good times. I barely got any sleep last night either. Wah. Anyway, it was fine. We were super short on volunteers, but a bunch of people came up to the booth and offered to help...praise God! He always makes a way, doesn't He?

After church was a mad dash to get the sides made for Ellie's birthday party. When we got there, it was pretty obvious that we were walking into a very tense household. Maybe it was just party prep stressing everyone out? But Ashley mentioned a fight with Kwin a couple of times, so I'm guessing we came just a minute after that happened. Never fun to fight with your spouse just as you're about to be around a bunch of people, especially if you're not the kind of person who's good at hiding your feelings...like me! The party was torture. I wanted to leave from the second I got there. The plan was for it to be outside, but then it rained instead, so we were all stuck inside. The kids were going insane. All of us parents were super uncomfortable. Conversations was forced. And I just wasn't in a great place to try and engage people. I did have a really good conversation with one of our neighbors who came...and found out she's a believer! I also tried to help Ashley with stuff as much as possible. It was just long and I am not feeling great, so I wanted to be home.

Eventually, Ollie got hurt, had a tantrum, and literally RAN ALL THE WAY HOME without us. I went to find her and console her and whatnot and earned myself a get out of jail free card. :) I had to stay home with the little one! haha I spent the rest of the afternoon/evening doing chores and whatnot, but it was all stuff that really needed to be done. No clue what to do with the kids tomorrow! We might make another library trip. I also need to order groceries at some point. Ahhh...the constant burden of responsibility.
