I got to take MJ out for her Mother's Day lunch today and it was so nice. We rarely get time to just be alone together. I got to talk to her all about the mental health stuff I've been dealing with and she thinks that I may be perimenopausal. She shared some stories with me about her time going through that, and some of her cousins, and thinks that this is definitely hormones and not just me losing my mind. Just think, back in the day, if a wife was acting too hormonal, her husband could just have her institutionalized.

When we got back from lunch, all I wanted to do was relax, but Dawn was over! So we hung with Dawnie for a little bit, just catching up. We talked a lot about the beach trip, which is only three weeks away! It's crazy. When she finally left, we went to Total Wine, which is like the Costco of alcohol. That place was insane. Every drink you could ever imagine was there. We could have roamed for an hour, but we found what we needed and headed out pretty quickly.

We had a whole half hour to relax before it was time to go to Uncle Ed's to party with the cousins. I had a feeling we'd be there first and I'm glad we were. I just wanted some time to hang out with Chels and Frank alone. We got to chat about work stuff and Puerto Rico and just re-get to know each other a little. It was a really good thing for us. Then Lisa and Johnny came and Evie a little while later. Eddie came after a wedding, at like 9pm. Man, we made some AWESOME memories tonight! I drank way, way, way too much and so did most of my cousins. Ben was the DD for me, which never happens, but I'm grateful that I got to have this evening in this way. Lisa, Eddie, and Chels needed to blow off some steam. They literally have had the worst couple of weeks of their lives. We ate pizza, did shots, laughed our butts off, created a bunch of inside jokes, sat around the campfire, watched Chelsea, our serious FBI agent, act a dang fool, cartwheeling around like a nut! Evie and I got to have a couple of deep conversations...that I can barely remember now. So many laughs. I'm so glad we did this. We didn't leave until almost 1am. I have no idea how long everyone else hung out, but I did hear that Evie and Chelsea jumped in the river after we left. smh So gross!
