I'm kind of feeling like I'm hemorrhaging money right now. I feel like I've placed a dozen orders over the last couple of days. Jonas and Clemi both need basically new wardrobes for this fall/winter, we all needed rain jackets and waterproof shoes for the Maine trip, since it looks like rain every day that we can see on the forecast, the kids keep wanting to use their allowance on junk, I wanted to make sure everyone had a Halloween shirt/dress, and Ruby got her ears pierced today, which cost $111 at the piercer!!! *shudder* It's been an expensive week so far.

Ben and I finally made lists for camping and I'm wondering when is too early to start packing up the van. I'd like to be prepared, since it looks like I'll be going over to the campground alone on Friday to get things started while Ben finishes up work. I'm kind of looking forward to the trip, but it's been hard to focus on with the Maine trip coming up. I did ask Ben if we could stay longer and--surprise, surprise--he said no. :( womp womp

Today was pretty good. School went great and after school we went to get Ruby's ears pierced, finally. She's been begging since she turned 7, but I was worried about how she'd react to the pain. She did ok with the first ear, but on the second ear she was flinching and kept putting her hand up to stop the lady from piercing her. She told us that she wanted to keep going and have both ears pierced, but was really mad about how much it hurt. After a while, she let the lady finish up and she officially has her ears pierced now! We ran to target for some food and to waste allowance and after that, I cooked some dinner, and then I went through Ollie's clothes to get her fall wardrobe out. She has plenty of stuff to wear, but almost all of it has been passed down since Clem and it's all pretty outdated. I know it's not important, but I really like nice clothes. 😬
