Brittany had her baby today!!! Welcome to the world, baby Tori. I can't wait to meet you!

Meanwhile, here in North Carolina, we had a pretty good day...ended with a bit of a rough night. We got up and hung out at the pool for a couple of hours, then headed to the beach for a couple of hours, then hung out at the pool AGAIN for a couple of hours. The afternoon was pretty relaxing, and then we were back in the pool again! Erin and I went for a run first thing this morning and it was pretty fun to go running with someone else, although it's hard to run while you're talking.

After dinner, we headed to the bay to go fishing. I loved it. Quiet, beautiful, the kids were occupied. It was the best. Other than the horseflies who kept attacking us, it was lovely.

In the evening, I told Ben I wanted to play Telestrations and he came upstairs and told his family I wanted to play. So then, everyone kind of steeled themselves to play a game they didn't really want to play, kind of a grin and bear it mentality, and I felt really awkward describing a game to them that I didn't really remember! And knowing nobody really wanted to play didn't help with the awkwardness either. When I was describing the game, Dawn kind of freaked out and insisted, loudly, that she was NOT going to play this game. Then she went down to her room and hid for the rest of the night. So...needless to say, Telestrations wasn't a big hit with the Boettchers. I just ended up feeling pissed at Ben for not backing me up a little more and kind of having everyone take pity on me by playing. Like, I could have just played something else. That sucked. I'm worried Dawn is going to be mad tomorrow.
