June 7, 2024 - Friday
We got up and out early this morning and headed to the art festival. I've developed an irrational fear of crowds over the years, so we got there an hour before it opened, in hopes of getting a better parking spot. We did get a good parking spot and it was actually nice to just sit on a bench and talk, while the kids played at the playground. Once the booths were open, we walked around to all of the kid's things. Being there first had its advantages, because everyone still had the good giveaways! We got tshirts, tote bags, pins, and magazines, and got to do fun crafts and artwork everywhere we went. It was lots of fun, but very tiring. After the kid's section, we walked around to the artists' booths. Me, Jonas, and Clemi all bought artwork. Jonas definitely got the best deal. He bought an original watercolor painting (18"x36") for $65! I got a little 14"x14" print for $60. But, either way, I love to support artists and I'm excited about my new art!
The afternoon was relatively slow. I helped dad put up drywall for a while. He found a gas leak in his truck today! So, that was pretty crazy. They're stuck here until he can get it fixed. Thankfully, they aren't planning to leave until Thursday, so it should be fine. I made dinner and then we relaxed together, watching Psych. We're planning to have a meeting tomorrow, just us four adults, to actually sit down and discuss the details of the move to Delaware. All the things we've kind of mentioned, but really need to have firm plans for. We'll see how that goes! Ben is nervous.
