October 2, 2025 - Thursday
Another long, draining day. I'm so looking forward to tomorrow, when I have no plans until the evening. Not that I'm looking forward to tomorrow's evening plans! We're going to Hoffbrauhaus with Patrick J. for his bday and I AM glad we're showing up for him, but I don't drink beer, and I am uncomfortable leaving the kids alone for hours at night, especially with the way Ruby acts when we leave now. She understands why we're going, but that doesn't mean she's not going to be a mess.
Anyway, today. We had CACH in the morning and I was prepared, so that's a win in itself! Sewing went well and my class did great in sculpture too. However, I just don't seem to have enough time to prep things for my class, since I'm one of the only people who knows how to sew in the sewing class, and I'm actively needed the whole time. That's a little stressful. It's just go, go, go, go, go for the entire morning. We did go to the playground for a while afterwards and I got to talk to a mom I haven't had a conversation with before. That was a good time. She used to go to Dwell, so we talked about that for a little while. My friend Erin told me that she naps every single afternoon, and I just admire her dedication to getting good rest so much. I feel like I just don't do this during the day. It's not like I want to nap, but I do wish I was carving out time for my own rest...Bible, or reading, or something. The only time I've really been making to sit and chill is at night, in bed, right before I fall asleep. I'm not sure that's enough! But I have been super busy lately.
It's pizza and a movie night and I made bread pudding for dessert. I left around 6:30 for the Harvest Meeting, which was honestly just like a school award's ceremony. I wasn't expecting that and am not sure I really would want to go to another one? But it was a nice evening. They had really good food and drinks to give out, but there were thousands of people there, so the lines were wild. I ended up just talking to Kaitlyn for the whole night, because we ended up on the end of a picnic table. It was good, though, because we haven't gotten time to catch up for a couple of months.
