Roe vs. Wade was overturned today (? yesterday?), leaving it up to individual states to decide whether or not to allow abortions. Ohio is a red state, so we will likely have either banned or very limited abortion access here. I don't support elective abortions (i.e. people using abortion as a means of birth control because I HAVE known MANY women who have done this!!!), but I also don't feel like our country is equipped to take care of the children that they're going to force people to bring to term. AND I don't think it's fair that the responsibility of caring for the children is entirely hoisted on the mother's shoulders, despite the father's equal (sometimes larger) responsibility for the situation. It's a difficult topic for me, because I just don't have enough black and white feelings to argue about it at all and I can see both sides of the argument having valid and persuasive points. I DO believe that fetus's are people and that abortion kills those people, but I also don't think it's my right to push my opinions onto others. But I def would for murders of people who are born. I suck at this. Whatever. I didn't really write this post to talk about this, I just like to mark milestones in this blog so I (and maybe my children?) can look back on it one day...and see how horrible I am at knowing how I feel.

I spent this morning weeding and sprucing up our veggie garden and the flower garden out back. My legs were shaking by the time I was done! I may be losing weight, but I am NOT in good shape. 😅 Then we went to the pool with Melis and Naz and hung out for a couple of hours. Btw, they got their green card!!! They'll be moving to Charlotte very soon. I have mixed feelings! I'm so happy for them, but so sad for us. I also had a date with Jonas tonight. We went into Dublin and got some ice cream, wandered around, and then got Starbucks, which I was much too full to enjoy. We had a really nice time though!
