October 7, 2023 - Saturday

I thought today was going to be crazy busy, but the afternoon ended up feeling wonderfully relaxed. I got up pretty early, got showered and dressed, then headed to Costco with Ashley. Sadly, we had to rush and left after an hour, because I had to get Clemi to Gwen's birthday party. I dropped her off at Get Air, and worried the whole time that every other parent was planning on staying. Turns out, they were. When I went to pick her up, a half dozen other moms from the co-op were all sitting around visiting and here I come, after an hour and a half of being by myself, feeling like a butthead, to get Clem. Pretty embarrassing for me, honestly. Everyone acted like it was no big deal, but I still felt like a jerk for leaving. I should have just followed my gut. Then again, we had another faux pas that I'm pretty glad I didn't have to be there for. It was a joint party and the other girl (Gwen's sister) started crying when she realized that Clemi got Gwen a present, but not her. I didn't even think for a second that I would get a present for both girls, when I didn't even know who the other person was! For all I knew, it could have been a friend or a cousin, but it was actually her little sister and I now feel like a double jerk. *sigh* I guess this will just be the beginning of everybody in co-op realizing I'm an unlikeable person. It had to happen eventually, I guess. 

The rest of the day was smooth. I read and played my game and chilled. We went over to the Albino's for dinner and hung out there for a couple of hours. It was a good time. After that, we just hung out and watched tv. Pretty good Saturday!
