June 3, 2025 - Tuesday
Today may have been the busiest day of my life. 😅 Probably an exaggeration, but it felt that way! We got up and said goodbye to my parents who, even though they said they were leaving at 9, were annoyed with me for not coming down until 8:45 because they were ready to go. Anyway, we said goodbye to them, had lots and lots of tears from the girls, then ate breakfast and headed to Wild & Free at 9:50. We got to Highbanks and spent a couple of wonderful hours visiting with friends and creeking. I got to talk to Anna and Crystal for a while, which was nice. I haven't really sat and talked with Anna in a long time.
We went to Jenny's after Wild & Free and hung out for a couple of hours there. It was a really good time! My girls were fighting a bit, which was annoying, but Jenny and I had a fun time talking.
When we got home, we had a full 45 minutes before we needed to turn around and leave again. I threw in a load of laundry and helped Jonas with his accent for his VBS drama part. Then we left for drama! I dropped Jonas and Clemi off and went to Megan's house to visit for a little while. I've been trying to work out a time to hang out with her for the last six weeks and this is the first time it worked! We really only spent a little over an hour there, but it was good. She's just not very expressive and it can be hard for me to know what she's thinking/feeling. She seems to be feeling nothing? But that can't be right, can it? I don't know. Anyway, I like her a lot. She's great. I'm just not used to spending time with anyone that is so neutral seeming.
I went back and grabbed the kids from drama, then we came home and ate hot dogs for dinner. The kids asked if I'd take them to the pool tonight, and although I was very tempted to say no for the sheer fact that it's been a busy day, I said yes! They were very excited (aside from Jonas who was very put out to STILL not be able to sit on the couch and do nothing). We only had an hour until closing time, but Ben and I got to sit and visit on the lounge chairs while the kids enjoyed the water for a little while.
So, yes. It was a very, very busy day. BUT it was full of lots of good things, so I just can't complain.
