September 8, 2024 - Sunday

Today was an absolutely gorgeous, wonderful day! We spent the morning at home, relaxing and checking out the beach. I took a shower and did my hair and makeup (which is such a production, honestly), and then we went to lunch at my very favorite restaurant, McLoon's. After a delicious, and very, very windy, lunch there, we went home to bundle up before going to the breakwater. We headed over there, shortly thereafter, and walked the full mile out and the full mile back! With very little complaints from kids! It was super windy and chilly, but once we were dressed appropriately for it, it was fine. We stopped behind the lighthouse and chilled on the rocks like seals for a while, getting sprayed by the ocean. We made it back to the car in record time because Ben kept timing races on his phone. My feet started to hurt because I forgot to change into my sneakers before the walk, but I did have them in the car, so was able to change into them after the walk. We ran over to Walmart to grab a few more things we need (oh my gosh, Walmart is taking all of our money this week) and then headed home. Evie got here an hour later!! Once she was here and changed, we headed to a restaurant for dinner called Hill's Seafood Co. We're two for two on meals out today, because this one was awesome too! We had considered shopping in town after dinner, but all of the adults were pretty pooped, so we decided to go home instead. Once the littler girls were showered and in bed, the rest of us played dominoes for a little while, which was a lot of fun. I'm so glad Evie joined and is here! After dominoes, we just sat and talked until late. The perfect day! 

The only downside to this perfect day is that I went to get my memory card out of my camera this morning and realized that I took hundreds of photos yesterday with no memory card in my camera and, therefore, have no photos from yesterday. I literally cried. I'm using photos Ben took, which are great, but not mine.
