If I had written this post an hour ago, the feel would have been much different, but now I'm stressed and feeling more so every minute! Where do I start?

Well, this morning, Jonas screwed up. Aveen had spent the night and Ollie was up a lot last night, so I overslept a bit. Before I had even peed this morning, Clem was upstairs telling me that Aveen accidentally broke a vase in the dining room. I'm like, no big deal. I'll be down to clean it in a minute. Before I can even blink twice, I hear glass smashing and boys laughing. Clem starts crying and runs back upstairs with bloody feet. SHE STEPPED IN THE FREAKING GLASS. And the boys were laughing at her about it! While I'm cleaning Clemi's feet off, I hear glass being smashed again!!! RUBY STEPPED IN THE DAMN GLASS THIS TIME! And the boys are basically exploding with the hilarity of it all! While I can appreciate the silliness of the situation--like, how did they both step in the glass that they were already hyper-aware of--Jonas (and Aveen) did a lot wrong here. First, when glass breaks, we clear away from the area completely until an adult can clean it up. Second, Jonas should have prioritized his little sisters and made sure they kept away. He didn't give a crap at all about whether or not they went near the broken glass. Third, YOU DON'T LAUGH WHEN SOMEONE IS HURT!!! What kind of psycho laughs when someone has shards of glass in their feet? Although I didn't want to be the mean mom, I ended up calling Aveen's parents to come get him and getting Jonas's consequences started. 3 days without screens. Should be a blast for us all.

Oh, we got a call that Jonas won the teen bracket of the summer reading challenge! He got a $50 gift card and was SO excited. Timing was terrible. I really wish I could have told him when I wasn't pissed at him. Anyway, we went over to the library after lunch. Everyone grabbed their prizes from the challenge and some books, and we got smoothies from the little cafe, and then headed home!

I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes tonight and then Ben went to Jason's to visit for a bit. Things went so smoothly until I asked Jonas to go make some popcorn. Then the stress started. He comes up to tell me that the popcorn machine isn't turning on and I realized that it wasn't just in Ben's head that the fridge wasn't working (he had mentioned it earlier today)...the fuse blew or something like that. I head down into the spider-filled back room of the basement and started flipping through all of the fuses. None of them worked to turn the fridge back on! Since the hot tub got turned off, I had to go outside and run the pumps. The hot tub starts making crazy sounds and I'm like, great. Now the fridge is broken AND the hot tub is broken. I'm going to have so many freaking repairs to pay for! Thankfully, Ben is the idea man. When I talked to him, he was like, let's put more water in the hot tub and see if that works. Fixed it! He also had the idea to plug an extension cord into the fridge and try to get it plugged in somewhere else. Sadly, that did not fix it. It just blew every breaker we plugged it into. The fridge is gone and now we're going to have a freezer of nasty stuff to throw away.

ALSO, Ben has been having kidney pain the last few days and I'm stressing about that too. He is just feeling so humiliated and frustrated that he keeps having health issues. He doesn't even want to talk to anyone about it because he's so embarrassed. It's just been one thing after the other lately. I really hope it doesn't get too terrible, but if it's a kidney stone like it seems to be, it's going to get SO TERRIBLE.

We're going to a meet and greet with a homeschool co-op tomorrow where I won't know anyone. Feeling very nervous!
