Final class day of the CACH semester! I'm a little sad, but mostly relieved. I was anxious leading up to it, but it didn't go badly. It was fine. I just have to let go of control. I really wanted to have pictures of every class for the yearbook and I wasn't free to go take those pictures so...I guess it's up to other people to make sure it happens! Which means it probably won't happen. Everyone loves to look at the yearbook, but nobody wants to have to contribute to the yearbook. It's ok.

After class, Christina invited us over to Chick-fil-A for lunch. I was a little stressed because I needed to get my chili and bread started, but I haven't gotten together with her in so long that I felt like I should make it work. It was actually a really great time. The kids had so much fun with her kids and I had a really nice time catching up with her. As always, she extended invitations to all of their small group happenings: movies this weekend, Die Hard debate next Wednesday, Christmas party the week after, and Christmas movie night the week after that. I told her I felt guilty coming to things when I knew that I wasn't going to switch to their church or ever be a regular attendee and she said to just come if we ever feel like it, guilt-free. So, we might! The kids really enjoyed going and it's on a different night than any of our Dwell commitments. I guess there's no harm in a little extra Bible study and time with friends, as long as they know we're not going to switch churches (again).

At the end of the hangout, my three girls stayed with her at Chick-fil-A to get their nails done and I took her oldest boy with me to hang out with Jonas at our house. Jonas's friend Jack came over too and they all played chess and some Nintendo game. It was pretty fun! It felt kind of nice to switch off kids like that. I got dinner ready and read a little, then the girls came home and we got the Christmas tree set up, after lots of cleaning. Ben skipped cell (not surprising) and we had a pretty chill night.

*Sewing class and Clem's drama performance today!
