I went to work this morning, just because classes were turning over and I knew we had 19 kids expected. It just felt like a lot for the weekend girls to get things organized on their own. I hung out there for a little over an hour, then headed home. Once I got back, I took Ruby out on a date around the neighborhood. We just walked to the park, then searched for Christmas gifts for her siblings and Ben, then walked back. We also discussed our book, but I have no idea where it is, so I had to work from memory!

After we got back, I took Clem out on a date! It was a very date-heavy day. She and I went to Dairy Queen for some treats and brought back lunch to everyone else. Interspersed with the dates was plenty of reading and PLENTY of laundry.

In the evening, we went to the Danhausen's house for PINSY's (the middle school group's) parent night. When we got there, Clinton told us that we were going to be the only parents there! 😅 It ended up being a really great night and wonderful opportunity to get to know Stephanie and Clinton better. While we were there, they told us that they started a Dublin HC a little while ago. There are only six regular people in it right now and they would love for us to come visit sometime. It's a crazy thing because I have been thinking and praying about a future local group that I wanted to be mentally and spiritually prepared for, but I'm really happy with our group and have no real interest in leaving right now. I think, in my mind, the future group would be happening after I'd finished my LTC classes and things had organically changed a bit with HC. Like, maybe some other people had moved because their kids were going to be in local schools soon, or whatever. But here is an invite to a HC two miles from us that could potentially really need people like us. I don't know. I'm definitely in no rush to examine this closely. I don't want to leave my HC. Ben, however, kind of does want to leave. He's not in a rush either, but things are not great for him in Ohio HC. He's very lonely and very frustrated. He's finally back to being fully invested and involved, but it just never pans out for him with this group of guys and, I think, he's eager to try out something different with a different group of people. He'd really like us to just visit sometime. I'm going to discuss with some friends over the next couple of weeks and see what people think.
