Day 200 of my 365 Photo Journal

Day 200 seems like a turning point, doesn't it? I know that I hit halfway a week or two ago, but this feels like ACTUALLY halfway.

I felt pretty sick today. Getting colds during COVID is just a crazy thing. Like, every time you cough or sneeze, you feel like you need to tell everyone around you that it's not COVID! I got to visit with Jenny this morning outside though, which is always fun. That's another thing I've been thinking about. Why didn't it ever occur to us in the past to hang out outside when we felt sick, rather than just saying you'll either accept the risk and hang out inside, or you'll cancel plans all together? Very strange. Also, we never ever would have considered a mask an option, but it is one! They are helpful. I also got to have lunch with Cina and we actually sat in my car together. 🤯 I warned her sternly about my cold, but she didn't care. We were freezing outside.

For today's picture, I just shot Clemi drawing with chalk, because at our house we draw with chalk EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's getting a old...the chalk drawing (a little) and the taking pictures of the kids playing out front (a lot). BUT that's what I have in me to do right now. So that's what I'm doing.

I did think of a really fun photo series that I'm going to keep thinking about and start planning for. I want to do a decade series, like 1910s, 1920,s and so on, up to 2010s. I don't necessarily want to do the stereotypes from those decades, although I'm not sure why. Buying costumes would definitely be easier if I went that route, rather than sewing or cobbling together outfits otherwise. But I think, especially in the black and white decades, I could use things we have and kind of pin them to look close to right...maybe? Lots of planning. I want these to be photoshoots with the kids, of course, but I can't decide if it should be all four, or just the girls, or just two of them, or even just one! Lots of thinking to do.
