HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MARME! She is a lady who truly changed my life when she came into it, offering a hopefulness and new perspectives that I had never really experienced before. She actually had expectations of me and a vision for a future for me...things I had not really known adults to give to children/teens in my life. It didn't change me immediately, but she was such an immense help to me after I received Christ and has been a constant support and one of the very closest people to me in my life. I'm so, so grateful to have her. Praying for so many more birthdays to come!

Me, Ben, and the kids packed up early this morning to grab Dunkin' Donuts and surprise her at her RV with breakfast this morning! This was all Ben's idea, but it was such a good one and I'm so glad he thought of it! I'm also so glad he loves my Marme. I know it hasn't been an easy road for the two of them. After we had breakfast, we went to church with them, to the one they've been going to while they're in Maine for many years now. It was a solid service with a really moving teaching. The kids all made friends and had a fantastic time, too. As I knew they would. :) They always find new friends wherever they go! Haha everyone (the Boettchers, anyway) got a bit uncomfortable during worship because some people were crying out, loudly, and raising their hands and whatnot. Clem asked if they were pretending to be zombies. *sigh* It's good for them to get different church experiences and to be open-minded about people worshiping in different ways but still loving the same God! I like our church a lot, but ours is not the only good way to do church.

Afterwards, we headed to one of our favorites, Flatbread Pizza, for lunch. It's where we met a movie star last year!! No movies stars today, sadly, but there was very good pizza and dad treated! Woo!

Marme and dad went back to their camper to rest for a bit, while we all went to the grocery store to get supplies for MJ's birthday dinner. I made chicken and rice soup and served it with bread and salad. While that was simmering, Evie and JJ got here! We got them settled, dad and MJ showed up, then we ate dinner and spent the evening celebrating Marme. It was a very good night! A very good day too...just a little busy for my tastes.
