TGIF!!! I am SO glad the work/school week is over. It was only a four-day week, but it feels like it's been a six-day week. I'm tired of getting up and getting everyone off to the bus. Ready for a break!

I went to visit Jenny this morning and Brittany midday. Both visits were so good for my soul. I've missed my friends so much. I need more than just Ben and MaryJo and children to talk to! Without HC or cell or CT, I've just been in my little echo chamber of a world. I also got to go out to dinner with my mom's group tonight and I'm just so thankful for friendship. God has really blessed me with a good community. A lot of the mom's group ladies are not people that I really have fun hanging out with one-on-one, but I've been in this group since Jonas was a baby (none of the people who are left have been in it that long but still) and I'd trust any of them to help me if I were in a tight spot or to take care of my kids for me. For a mom, there isn't really any higher level of trust than being willing to leave your kids with someone. Well, maybe not for all moms, but it's how I feel anyway. We laughed and talked for hours tonight, and it was really heart-warming for me. I didn't feel like going, but I'm so glad I did.

Tomorrow will be a busy day. We're having Jonas's friends over for his birthday celebration at 2 and, before then, we have to clean the house and make the crazy recipes Jonas chose that I was able to get supplies for. Ben is stressed out. He is convinced that one of the kid's moms will come in and look all around and judge the baseboards of our house or something. I don't really care to get everything clean before the party, as long as the space they'll be in (the basement) is pretty clear. Yay for disagreements that create extra work for me. :( After the party, Ben and I have a date planned! Yay!
