March 1, 2026 - Sunday


I served at CT this morning and I don't know if Ben would have come either way, but we couldn't all fit in the car. Jonas and Clem had a big skit this morning and they were both absolutely miserable about it. *sigh* I wish they could serve a little more joyfully on the drama team! But they both hate it so much. They cannot wait until their year of serving is up...even though they LOVE drama for VBS! I had a great morning, as always. I didn't get to have as many conversations as I typically do, but it was still a good time. There was an event after CT with lots of food and I guess Jonas went over there and tried a bunch of things. I didn't even know about it until we were about to leave! None of the girls wanted any of the food, so we just went home and ate there. 

The rest of the day should have been relaxing, but I'm struggling so much lately (emotionally) that I was just stressing about the week ahead. And cleaning. Always cleaning. I made the decision to not do school this week and just focus on getting through all of the busy days without the additional responsibilities of homeschooling. I think I'll have them do math and reading every day, but we don't need to go balls to the wall every single week. 😅

What a day! It literally rained from start to finish, but we packed as much into it as we possibly could! We had a great time visiting and hanging out. We had a fire and lots of great meals *brushes shoulder off*. The kids played well together and, as far as I know, there wasn't any drama! It was a bit exhausting, but I'm so glad that this retreat went well. Last year's was a bit of a bomb, with all the childcare drama happening behind the scenes. I feel like last year's retreat was a pre-cursor to our deciding to move away. Not that they actually had anything to do with one another, but they happened in such close succession that they seem related in retrospect. I drank a bit too much tonight and had a really fun time singing songs, while Tony played the guitar. Man, I wish I had talent with instruments!

November 9, 2025 - Sunday

This is my favorite picture from the whole shoot!! I love it.  We went to CT this morning and I actually got to sit in on the teaching! Woo! It feels like that doesn't happen very often. We hung out in the cafe with friends for a little bit, then went to Chipotle for lunch on the way home.  We spent most of the day just relaxing! I started a photo book for our Maine vaca in September, and tried to get caught up with some other stuff, but it was mostly just a chill day. Jonas and Clem went to group and we stayed home, chillin'. Ben and I got in the hot tub with Ruby and Ollie for a little while, which was fun. It was snowing while we were in there!

January 18, 2026 - Sunday

Ben and I drove separately to CT today because he needed to be home by 11:40 to get together with Jason and drive to Travis's to play MtG! I'm glad he got to hang out with his friends and it gave me a little more freedom to not rush after CT. Of course, Jonas was ready to get out of dodge, but I made him wait! I ended up talking to Julie O'Donovan for about 20 minutes after CT, getting more information about the new Hilliard bush group that she's hosting. I don't know. It really could be the answer to all of my prayers over the years. It would be so good to have a group that's close to home that I could invite neighbors to! It would be even cooler if we were hosting, since we've had a couple of people who said they'd "come every week if it were at your house!" to us over the years. Just a lot of things to be praying for with these groups! I don't want to leave my friends, but I do want to be in a better position for evangelism with friends ...
