June 17, 2026 - Wednesday


It was my turn to drive Jonas and the Wyatts AND Jaxon to camp today, so I got up early and picked everyone up. Then, when I got home, Christina came over to work one last time on the decorations together. We got about 90% done, but she'll have to do a bit on her own. I set her up as well as I could by finishing the part I'd been helping with. I wish her luck! I have way too much to be stressed about already without adding more Liam's party stress onto my shoulders. I haven't even started getting packed for the trip to Marietta tomorrow morning. I feel like my task list is 1,000 items long and I have about 2 minutes to do everything. 

I took Ollie to BJJ at 11 and the other girls wanted to come to watch, then Lorena invited them to join! Ollie was the only one there and I think she just wanted to spice things up a little. Afterwards, we ran to Chick-fil-A and got the girls treats with the gift cards they got at their VBS last week...and I got myself a little treat too! I got back home right as Jenny was pulling up and we got to visit for a couple of hours. Of course, I cried AGAIN. I'm seriously just damaged goods anymore. I'm just so, so sad about leaving Dwell. I don't even want to talk about it. I'm all talked out about it, but it is really sad. 

After Jenny left, I went to get the kids from camp and there was a bad accident right in front of me. The car flipped over!!! Needless to say, the trip was much longer as a result. I found a way around, but it probably took 20 minutes longer there and back. Erin brought dinner by at 5, so we ate and then headed to small group. It just felt like I didn't have 20 minutes to myself all day. I don't really need 20 minutes to myself, but it would have been nice. Small group was pretty good. We've been splitting into extra small groups to have discussion, and I think it's been working pretty well. I can't believe we leave for Marietta in the morning! I also can't believe I teach in two weeks. I haven't even started thinking about it yet.

This is my favorite picture from the whole shoot!! I love it.  We went to CT this morning and I actually got to sit in on the teaching! Woo! It feels like that doesn't happen very often. We hung out in the cafe with friends for a little bit, then went to Chipotle for lunch on the way home.  We spent most of the day just relaxing! I started a photo book for our Maine vaca in September, and tried to get caught up with some other stuff, but it was mostly just a chill day. Jonas and Clem went to group and we stayed home, chillin'. Ben and I got in the hot tub with Ruby and Ollie for a little while, which was fun. It was snowing while we were in there!

April 27, 2026 - Monday

I'm finally starting to feel a little more like myself again. I can almost feel the energy to work on projects and maybe even see people. We'll see if it continues in this direction or if I backslide. I just never know anymore.  Late yesterday evening, Ben asked if the McKeans wanted to come over for a fire. I was shocked! He never wants to do last minute stuff like that. It was a really good night though. I'm glad he reached out to them and asked.  Today, we just did school and our usual BJJ classes. I cleaned and relaxed in the afternoon, then rode with Christina and Lauren to my CACH class planning meeting for the spring. We stopped at Chick-fil-A on the way and got some grub. It was a good meeting! I think the semester will be wonderful. I'm glad I'm doing this yearbook club thing. I think it's going to be a fun group. I need to put together an application for the kids to fill out!

May 7, 2026 - Thursday

Today was pretty fun. After we finished with school, we went to the playground with Christina, Sarah, and Mackenzie. I tried to talk Christina into going on a hike and she agreed! But then she asked if we could just switch to a playground, so we did that instead. But the kids had an awesome time, and I had a pretty good time too, so it's all good.  In the evening, Clem had her choir concert. Christina brought her kids, so they were there for her solo and Jaxon brought her a dozen roses!!! Clem was blushing so hard. It was very cute. She did a great job singing again. I'm so proud of her for being brave and giving herself 100% to her choirs, to learning her music, and to practicing daily. She's a good kid.
