May 26, 2026 - Tuesday

I let myself get very grumpy this morning. Ben has been talking about leaving tomorrow or Thursday to get back to his dad, the internet/tv situation still isn’t fixed, and the dang pool was closed this morning. We had decided to postpone our boardwalk trip until tomorrow so we could visit our new friends at the pool before they left today and we just sat around for hours while the kids bickered, trying to figure out what was going on. We ended up going down to the beach at 11 and spent a couple of hours there. Our friends came down and hung out for a little bit before they left. 

We went back and had a late lunch, then, THANKFULLY, everyone went to their separate rooms and napped/watched movies on their tablets for two hours or so. The fighting this morning was really getting under my skin, so this quiet afternoon was very, very much appreciated! It helped my mood a lot, anyway. We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant, then hit the pool again when we got back. It was open once work on a balcony finished for the day. Grateful for that!! 

I am sunburned. It’s very uncomfortable.
